The correspondent of Yedioth Aharonot in Germany, talks about his new book on his visits to different Arabic countries

Eldad Beck “Behind the Border”

Just last week Eldad Beck- correspondent of Yedioth Aharonot in Germany - published his new book "Behind the Border".The book documents his visits to different Arabic countries like Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.During his travels Eldad was on one hand exposed to the hostility of the locals toward Israelis and Jews and on the other hand to humanity and cordiality that also exists between people on both sides of the borders and which is mostly unknown to the Israeli public.

Eldad Beck studied at Sorbonne University Arabic and Islamic studies, and served as a correspondent for Arabic affairs in Gali-Zahl in Israel during the Oslo process. Since 2002 he is a correspondent of Yedioth Aharonot in Germany.
