Communicating Art - The Art of Communication
by Margaret Kirreh, August-November
Two highly qualified women - Margaret Kirreh from the Willy Brant Center
and the artist Janet Auman - work with mothers and their children in a
rather unusual creative field. The participants learned basic techniques
for mosaic and design. They created a mosaic stepping stone from glass
pieces, and moved from there to create a 120x90 group mural to be
displayed at the center. The workshop was open for Israeli, Palestinian
and German woman.

Sawahre Girl´s High school and Surbahir Sports Club). This project
focused on positive encounters with young Isrealis. Without forcing any
form of dialogue, the positive atmosphere of the Willy Brandt Center led
to some very positive encounters.
Building Palestinian youth skills in political leadership
by Adeeb Salim, Fatah, July-September
In the continous violent reality in which Palestinian youth find
themselves, a fertile soil for stereotyping and negative images may be
found. This affects the youngsters in a sensitive period in which they
start creating their own identity on a political, social, personal and
professional level. We believe that it is a very important step to
participate in building this youth identity, in order to help the youth
dealing with their complex life and by providing the needed skills and
abilities to activate their participation in the process of positive
change.
