The WBC hosts an exhibition of Fundación APY:
There is a growing awareness about the current limitations in achieving proper water management. On the one hand, we are facing one of mankind’s greatest challenges: to avoid severe humanitarian catastrophes and armed conflict related to the access to water. On the other, water may be a vehicle through which global improvement in the realms of international cooperation, peace and human rights might be achieved. "Matter of water" reviews the biggest problems and challenges that water poses and travels through the main shared water basins, like the Jordan River.
Fundación APY is a Spanish non-governmental organization
established in Spain in 1992 and currently present in Latin America, Africa
and the Middle East.
The work of APY in this region focuses on human rights and use of natural
resources.
هناك وعي متنامي لدى الجميع حول محدوديات وصعوبة الوصول الى إدارة صحيحة للمياه. فمن جهة، يواجه البشر في السنوات الأخيرة أكبر تحديات عصرهم، ألا وهو تفادي الصراعات المسلحة والمآسي الانسانية المتعلقة بالوصول إلى المياه، ومن الجهة الأخرى يمكن لقضية المياه أن تكون العجلة التي تجر وراءها التنمية العالمية وتضمن التعاون الدولي والسلم وحقوق الانسان. يحاول معرض "قضية المياه" تناول التحديات والصعوبات الكبيرة التي تواجه أحواض مياه الأنهر ورحلة سريانها كما هو الحال في نهر الأردن.
ישנה מודעות הולכת וגוברת בחברה על קיום מגבלות במשאבי מים ובחשיבות השגת ניהול מים תקין. מצד אחד, אנו עומדים בפני אחד האתגרים הגדולים של האנושות, שכולל הימנעות מאסונות הומניטארים וסיכסוך מזויין סביב הגישה למים. מנגד, מים עשויים להיות כלי שבאמצעותו אנו יכולים להשיג שיפור עולמי בתחום שיתופי פעולה, שלום, וזכיות אדם. "העניין של המים" סוקר את הבעיות המרכזיות והאתגרים שמים מעמידים תוך מסע במשאבי מים משותפים, כולל נהר הירדן.
