Photo-Exhibition: "Focus on Human Rights" (02.06.2005)
Focus on Human Rights
Workshop and Exhibition
On June 2, 2005 at 5 PM the Willy Brandt Center Jerusalem opens a photo exhibition on human rights.

Focus in Human Rights
Workshop and Exhibition
The presented photographs were taken by Palestinian and Israeli young adults, who worked separately from each other in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The photos show their perception of human rights in their daily life and social surroundings. They are concrete and visible expressions of both despair and hope.
In several, separate meetings both, the Palestinian and the Israeli group, laid the basis for their photo work through lectures on the history of human rights and special human rights issues. Two of them were given by the human rights organizations B'Tselem and Public Committee against Torture in Israel.
Two professional photographers joined the groups and gave the participants important insights into the art of photography: Miki Kratsman for the Israeli group and Steve Sabella for the Palestinian group.
Speakers at the vernissage will be the human rights activists Jessica
Montell (B'Tselem) and Bassem Eid (Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring
Group).
