The Red Toy (Hateip Ha’Adom, Israel, 2004, 12 min.)
won Best Short Film at The Jerusalem International Film Festival in 2004.
In this film we follow a red toy that is passed from hand to hand, through
all the different religions and types of people that inhabit the old city
of Jerusalem. The toy wanders around the alleys of the city, handed
between those in power and plebeians, between foreigners and locals, and
during all this, the police surveillance cameras are watching from
above.
Don Quixote in Jerusalem
In the political parable "Don Quichote in Jerusalem" Dani
Rosenberg adds a metaphorical touch to a current theme: the dividing wall
between Israel and Palestinian lands. Two Israelis disguised as Don
Quichote and Sanch Pansa run up against the wall.
